Airline Operations—Ground Staff Award 2020

The Airline Operations—Ground Staff Award 2020 is an industry award covering employers throughout Australia in the airline operations industry, and their employees in the classifications in Schedule A (aviation transport workers, clerical, administration and support, maintenance and engineering, and storepersons and logistics). It applies to the exclusion of any other modern award. The airline operations industry means operating and/or ancillary on-airport servicing of aircraft used for commercial passenger or freight air transport services (scheduled or non-scheduled), or for private business and instructional flying in, and from a base in, Australia. The award also covers group training employers and their apprentices and trainees in the industry, and labour hire employers and their on-hire employees while working for a business in the industry. It does not cover employees excluded from award coverage by the Fair Work Act, or employees covered by a modern enterprise award, an enterprise instrument, or a State reference public sector modern or transitional award. Where an employer is covered by more than one award, an employee is covered by the classification most appropriate to their work and work environment.
